We study pancreas biology from development to disease. In the Pan(c)gnosis Lab we aim to combine developmental biology, chemical biology, and immunology to understand how the pancreas forms, regenerates, and fails. Our research is driven by curiosity about basic biology that we believe can translate to meaningful therapies for people suffering from metabolic disease or carcinomas. We use human pancreatic organoid and stem cell-based systems, along with zebrafish as a model organism, to answer these questions.

We believe that impactful scientific discovery is driven by curiosity, collaboration, and openness to new ideas. We strive for an inclusive environment, the only place where these values can thrive. We are strong advocates of open science principles and mandate fast knowledge dissemination to the scientific community and society. Teaching and learning practices are core to the way we operate, and we value good teachers and learners in the workplace.

We are based at Lund University, Department of Laboratory Medicine, and physically located at B12 of the BMC building. Our group starts on 1st September 2026.
